Ahem. I think I get where/why this is going. All I can say is that I both agree and am aware that the author (and I, since I agree) are drastically oversimplifying the post-print communication phenomena. In a total meta-moment, I realized how droll I found his comments about being droll- and that that was the desired effect, probably. And that he was aware of the irony of that effect.
Now I have a headache. (Aw, crap! I'm trying to be droll!)
